Hi,
I am currently involved in a globalisation project for the entire Netbackup Estate across the UK/ USA/HK and have set up a cetralised OpsCenter server based in the USA, firstly is it Ok to have a Master Server reporting into two OpsCenter servers? as I am doing this as part of the switch over, not sure if I can migrate the databases as my server in the UK is a 7.5.0.7 running on Wintel and the new USA based server is running 7.6.0.1 on RHEL......
With regards to the reporting functions the timezones if set to default will be as per the USA, I can setup a local account and set that tmezone differently, I have actually done this for my UK based account, but is there a way to set server groups based on regions?

Need assistance on OPScenter report generation

Dear ALL,
Need assistance on OPScenter report generation i have requirement were i need
# The media details with policy and Retention period which is freezed for more than 8 yrs from beginning on the setup
[ I had attempted "Image on Tape" report which have desired tabular format as i needed but huge environment were we have more then 74762 media with retention period more then 8 year
taking such a long & getting hang almost waited for 2 days to come output but failed ]
Recently OPScenter is configured in our environment i am unable to get above desired output from pr-defined templet or custom report
[ i have not tried custom SQL query since don't know databse schema ]
i need help on below thing
- Is this possible to generate above report from pr-defined templet
- How can i download database schema to understated relationship's between tables
- what will be the customized SQL query get desired output
like eg Media Policy name (which is backed up on media ) Retention level
- Which is database version is used to store data ( sybase , MS-SQL , Oracle , mysql )

OpsCentre System Requirements

Apolgies in advance as I'm sure there is a technote for this but I've hunted for sometime and looked at all the admin guides but can't seem to find a basic overview.
I need to confirm the system requirements for an OpsCentre Server.
We are running 7.5.0.6 on a Windows 2008 R2 x64 server. (We will be upgrading to 7.6 shortly)
We will be introducing another master and I've confirmed that as a result we should have a dedicated box for OC.
We only have 350 servers in the environment but these do include a large number of SQL and Oracle dbs. Total environment size is around 300TiB. I wanted to confirm what sort of local disk sizes I should be looking at for the opscentre server.
I've also seen conflicting reports on the suitability of using a VM for this, can anyone speak to this, whether a physical server is much better or not.
Finally a recommendation on the memory and CPU, I know it states 8GB as minimum requirement but I'm assuming as always this will simply stop the server from falling over and not actually give a useable setup

Hello All,
Can somebody help me in configuring a custom report in OpsCenter for Missing Monthly full backup for respective client?
Recently we had noticed in our environment that monthly full backup failed and not restarted on time and we missed it. I need to configure the same via OpsCenter to validate what are missed clients with Monthly schedule which were not restarted in the second attempt.
Any suggestions/idea to configure the same.

Opscenter 7.5 Data collection fail

Hi Guys, please help.
Opecenter 7.5 is falling to collect data on one of my 3 backup server, backup server is running Backup Exec 2010R3. I have reinstaled the agent, service accout permission has admin rights.
Collection is failing with the following error:
[Nbsl/Agent communication exception]: com.symantec.nbu.nom.scl.common.agent.exception.AgentException: A4012: Error while Job data collection: Return Code: -100 BE Server Connection issue.

Backup size growth for individual clients- Reporting

I need to track a backup size growth for each and individual clients on monthly basis in my environment. We have around 1800 clients. Is there a way to generate the report for every month for all the clients in opscenter ?
I looking for a report in the below format for entire available backups with us. Please help me.

OpsCenter Data Collection Error

Hi,
I have a new 7.6.0.1 OpsCenter running on RHEL, based in the USA, which will be used as a global OC as part of a restructure of the backup team in the UK/USA/AP, having addeed two 7.6.0.1 Master Servers and two 7.5.0.7 master servers I am having an issue with one of the 7.5.0.7 servers, it failes to complete the data collection for the BMR, Skipped Files & Job Throughput Data Type, I get the following error mesage Nbsl/Agent communication exception]: org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: vmcid: 0x0 minor code: 0 completed: Maybe
At present the Master Server is also connected to a local UK 75.0.7 OC and this has no errors at all, could this be due to the NBSL process being hammered as it is on two servers and also uses SLP Duplication?

Cannot report on a particular master server

OpsCenter Version: 7.5.0.7
OS: Windows 2003
NBU Master Version 6.5.5
Key details
- The master server is displayed on the main Monitor screen as connected
- The master server does not appear in the data collection screen
- The master server does appear in the Agent screen (I have deleted/re-added the agent successfully)
- I am able to drill down into the master server jobs, drives, media summary, etc from the monitor screen
- I am unable to remove the master as it does not appear in the list to remove
- I am unable to re-add the master because it already exists
- It does not have any aliases
- I have re-installed the agent on the master server, restarted all services (NBU & OpsCenter)
- I am a security administrator in OpsCenter
The master server is setup identically to all the other master servers in our environment and only this master is affected.
Has anyone come across this issue before?

Options selected -Using Report wizard -select Parameters-Client -Column(Client Name)-Operator(=)-Value(Not able to find the client in the list)
Able to view the same by selecting following options.

OpsCenter Report Total Number of Jobs for the Previous Month
I need a solution
I need to create a basic monthly report showing the total number of jobs that ran for the previous month. It can be by master or media servers and doesn't need to take into account ignoring reruns, just need to show total jobs that ran for the previous month whether it failed or not. I used the advanced success rate or another canned report the problem is it put commas in the job count. For example 102,900 total jobs. I need it to not include a comma as we import that number into another app and the comma is throwing things off. My sql query knowledge is very green so was hoping someone can help me with a simple sql query statement to show total number of jobs for a month without a comma in the number. Thanks.

OpsCenter drops connection to Masters
I need a solution
Hi All,
Need suggestions on possible root causes:
System:
Windows 2008 R2 Standard running OpsCenter Analytics v7.5.0.7
Running on a VM with 8 vCPUs and 32GB of RAM
The CPUs are almost all the time at 100%, caused by the dbsrv11.exe process. At least, once or twice a week, we log in and find that all Master Servers (14) are disconnected, prompting us to restart OpsCenter.
Any suggestions?

I need a solution
I have a customer with large number of reports going out every day to different groups. Over time, these reports have increased to big numbers, is there any way, I can map Report Name, Which email DL this report going/configured ? I'm sure this information is stored in some table, easy to write a simple query.
