Hi guys. I would like to know if any of you could help me with a custom SQL query for OpsCenter. I am doing a simple query like this: select * from domain_ScheduledJob where policyname like 'SQL%' but unfortunately the scheduledTime and startTime columns display the time as a series of numbers like 135710172000000000. Is there a way to convert that in a readable format for the WHOLE query, not just for a single entry that I would convert manually? Basically I was asked to show a report on my policies for SQL backups that would show the date and start times. If someone has a better idea than my custom SQL query, please let me know! :)

Hello all,
I am trying to perform a search for jobs from May 2012 thru October 2012 in OpsCenter Analytics under Monitor>Jobs. I've read where this is set by default to only let you search for data 30 days back or less, which holds true as I do get that message when performing a search for data over 30 days old. I'm sure there has to be a way to change this. My licensing is correct and current, but Ive never been able to find where to make this change. Can someone assist me with this?

I am using OpsCenter Analytics 7.5.0.4 and am having some issues with the output of a report which is showing incorrect information.
The report is the Client Reports\Client Summary Dashboard, this was edited to just show the Client, OS, Hardware and NBU Version to show what versions require updating, following several cliebts being upgraded to 7.5.0.4 and re-running the report this still shows several clients with the incorrect version, I have confirmed the new versions using the NBU GUI and also from the client, I have attached screen shots of both the OpsCenter and the NBU GUI showing the issues.
I have restarted the data collection on the master server and this still has not made a difference

Looking for some help with generating capacity license reports from a Netbackup Appliance master server using opscenter. My appliance is running 2.5 of the appliance software which is 7.5.0.2 of netbackup and the opscenter is currently 7.5.0.3.I have set this up with Windows master servers and I know this needs the opscenter agent. I have looked around and it looks like there is no agent for Linux master servers so any help with this would be appreciated.

I love opscenter and have managed to create several "nice to have" reports but i have a problem...
Do anyone know if i can get a report that show me expiration date of a full backup?
I have managed to get all info i need with a batch file wich give me this:
Backed Up (date) Expires (date) Files KB Sched Type Policy
I user bpimagelist -U -d and specify policy, dates, clients and some other stuff.

I upgraded OpsCenter from 7.1 to 7.5.0.4 and I can't login using the admin account. I can't find VSSAT in it's described directory and if I run it from Symantec\OpsCenter\server\eat\bin it gives me the following.

I am using Netbackup 7.5.0.4. We use SLPs to duplicate our Oracle backup images (originally backed up to Advanceddisk) to Puredisk appliance then Tape.
I can use the Oracle internal views to monitor if my backups for each policy and schedule are successful
What I am struggling with is the visibilty to check if all my backup images are being duplicated to all the other locations. We run many Oracle backups, some over 10TB which create up to 1000 backup images for a full backup. I need to be able to say with confidence that all these images exist where they are supposed to
The Opscenter SLP report is basic and just gives me an overview per master server. I would really like to be able to have reports based on individual SLPs or hosts
Does anyone know a way I can achieve this or have any other suggestions

Server1 has EV installed plus the Ops Agent.
Server2 has the database installed
I have gone through the admin guide and configured the data collector as detailed but it's not collecting.

I'm trying to create a restore report on Opscenter that list, among many informations, the policy a client belongs.
For example I have one client ABC which is inside DEF policy. When I create report the column Policy Name is 'UNKNOWN' for all clients, regardless their policy.

Also when a click on Job details on Netbackup Java Administration Console, the field Policy Name is empty.

We've just installed 2 new netbackup environments each consisting of 1 master and 1 media server. All are on Windows 2008R2 x64 platforms and working well. We've also just installed Opscenter 7.5.0.4 onto each media server.
Due to issues with security certificates I've modified the Program Files\Symantec\OpsCenter\gui\webserver\conf\web.xml file as detailed in the OpsCenter Admin guide (page 55 - disabling security certificate warnings and HTTPS redirection) so we can access it using HTTP.
I've restarted services using opsadmin stop / start and can now log into the console, but am unable to do anything, cannot change any settings or add a master server - just get the twirly circle eggtimer thing continually.
Any advice appreciated !

I've got a server dedicated to Ops center. The thing is that for some reason it's got the media server software installed on it and I want to get ride of it.
My concern is that the media server removal might affect ops center somehow, I know both software products are sepparated but I don't know what happens if I remove the media server software from the ops center server.
I'm running Netbackup 7.0.1 on the master server and Netbackup 6.5.6 on the Media server which is not being used as a media server... that's why we want the ops center installed on the server only.

Tape drive utilization report has changed since the days of VBR.
Current Drawbacks in Tape Drive Utilization Report present in Opscenter till the most current version 7.5.0.4
1. Report is a heatmap report cannot be exported to excel.
2. Report is per media server rather than an overall report. For example : 24 drives in a single tape library,
Requirement : how many hours and at what time of the day are the drives heavily utilised ? Should more drives be added to a library ? Can backups start at a different time of the day depending on Utilization ?
3. In VBR we could get this value in Percentage format. This is not avaiable in Opscenter. Example: drive utilization is 95 % between 10 pm to 1 am then drops .
For an environment polling 3 NetBackup Domains containing more than 250 tape drives even the heatmap report takes forever to show up.
A simple percentage for drive utilization can help in capacity planning.
If anyone there is using any SQL scripts to get the above information in Opscenter Analytics, can you pls share. Is there any workaround with custom reports you are having sucess with.

I haven't been able to create a report which provides a history of when a Master or Media Server was unreachable. we get pages when a Master or Media Server is unreachable, but for looking back in time it would be helpful to have a report showing when a Master or Media Servery was unreachable. I have started investigating using Alerts information and writing some SQL; is there an easier way? This report would be particularly helpful when auditing backups and identifying any missed backups.We have approximately 60 Master Servers.

We have a customer that uses the OpsCenter to monitor the backups and send a daily report.
For no known reason the OpsCenter stopped collecting data from NBU and the daily report came out empty.
I tried restarting the OpsCenter services by the command :
INSTALL_PATH\OpsCenter\server\bin\opsadmin.bat stop
and then
INSTALL_PATH\OpsCenter\server\bin\opsadmin.bat start
It didn't help and I had to restart the services from the system panel.
Questions:
1. Is this a known issue? (we had it in another site monitoring the 5220)
2. is there a fix for that?
3. Can I generate an alert going out from OpsCenter when data colection stops?
